Hung Gar Kuen

MAK SIFU

Hung Gar: This traditional Chinese kung fu style evolved from the Southern Shaolin styles that permeated Canton in the 1800s.

The art is well-known for its deep stances, its powerful ‘bridge hand’ techniques and its Tiger and Crane movements. Hung Gar became famous due to the efforts of the legendary Wong Fei-hung and his best-known student, Lam Sai-wing.

Its three core empty hand forms are Tiger-Crane, Tiger Subduing Fist and Iron Wire Boxing.
