The original Hong Kong Martial Club was established by Bey Logan in 2008. It was located in a warehouse building in the Cheung Sha Wan district. It was conceived as a kung fu school for Bey’s teacher, Mak Chi-kong Sifu, as well as an archive for his huge collection of martial arts movie memorabilia.
In 2016, the center moved to its current location in Kwai Fong. There, its vision was expanded to include a group of five kung fu masters teaching at the facility on different days of the week. The Martial Club also began hosting live weekly Zoom webinars, and also regular live events to share different aspects of Chinese culture.
